Construction Defect Photography
Construction Defect Photography is forensic photography used as evidence for litigation cases involving construction defect litigation. Construction defect photography can be used on the plaintiff or the defense side of a case.
Image Enhancement is defined as any process intended to improve the visual appearance of an image. In order for image enhancement to be acceptable for the courts the image the enhancement must be done according to guidelines set by the scientific community. Image processing techniques used for image enhancement must be accomplished on a digital copy of the original image. The allowed enhancements include adjustment to brightness, contrast, color temperature, cropping and sharpening.
Criminal and Investigative Photography
Criminal and Investigative Photography is forensic photography used to create visual documentation for criminal cases. Images shot for criminal and investigative evidence is shot by law enforcement personnel of crime scene investigators. The legal guidelines for criminal and investigative photography are much more stringent than those for civil investigative photography.
Forensic Video is the same as forensic photography except the documentation is video instead of still imagery. When shooting forensic video the same guidelines set by the scientific community.
Forensic Photography is used as evidence in civil and criminal litigation cases. Civil litigation attorneys use forensic photography as demonstrative evidence to explain their case jurors, mediators and insurance companies. Insurance companies use forensic photography to help settle the cases. Construction companies often use forensic photography as evidence in construction defect cases.
